Welcome to another day in our life on the farm, where my dogs and I spend every moment together—whether it’s working, playing, or just enjoying the peace of nature. In this vlog, I share a glimpse into our daily routine and the special bond we share as a family.

A Team of Well-Trained Dogs

The day starts with the dogs practicing their teamwork at the gates. They love working together, especially when it’s time for the “through” command, which lets them run through the gates in unison. Lily, my loyal German Shepherd, is always ready to lead the pack, running straight to Luke, but not without making sure everyone is behaving with her characteristic vocalizations. It’s always amusing to hear her reminding the others of their manners!

Playtime in the Dog Park

After training, it’s time for the fun part—playtime in the doggy playground! My dogs love digging in the sand, running through the open field, and cooling off with a swim in the dam. There’s no shortage of energy as they all chase each other around, enjoying their freedom and the wide-open space to run wild.

Meanwhile, Dad is hard at work in the Dingo enclosure, building a shelter for the animals. We all keep an eye on him while having our own fun, knowing that he’s working hard to keep our farm running smoothly.

Afternoon Treats: Peanut Butter for the Dogs

No day is complete without a treat! The dogs are excited for their afternoon snack of doggy peanut butter. It’s always a favorite in our household, and the dogs can’t get enough of it! The peanut butter is a nice little reward for all their hard work and playtime.

The Playful Personalities of My Dogs

Crispy, the playful Golden Retriever puppy, is always up for a good wrestle, especially with her best friend, Miss Red, the Staffy. But she’s also bonded with Matilda, the German Shepherd, and loves to roll around with her, too. After all that wrestling, it’s not long before Crispy passes out at my feet, exhausted but content.

On the other hand, Abra, the Belgian Malinois mix, has a different kind of play in mind. She stares intently at Kitty, our cat, and tries to engage her in a game. Kitty, ever the professional, acts completely indifferent to Abra’s enthusiasm, making it clear she’s not interested—but Abra doesn’t give up. It’s a funny dynamic that never fails to entertain us.

Dad’s Progress and the Rain Ahead

As the day goes on, we’re mindful of the heavy rain that’s expected to arrive later tonight or tomorrow. Dad is making the most of the dry weather, working hard to finish the shelter for the dingoes before the rain hits. While he works, we give him space to finish the project, knowing it’s essential to keep the farm in good shape for all the animals.

Settling Down for the Night

As evening falls, it’s time for everyone to wind down. The dogs find their spots on the couches, ready to settle in for the night. However, Rosco, the Mastiff, and the Pittie brothers—Tank and Chopper—aren’t quite ready to relax just yet. They roam around a bit before finally curling up and falling asleep, each one of them finding a cozy spot to rest after an action-packed day.

Before long, all the dogs are asleep, their bodies curled up on the couches, and I can’t help but wonder if they’re dreaming of peanut butter, swimming, wrestling, or the next fun adventure they’ll have tomorrow.
